A couple of drawings from Friday's Open Studio Tour experience.

A plus of being at a tattoo shop and gallery during open studios is the possibility for good subject matter.

Drawn live at Calculated Punkture Tattoo and Gallery for the Artists' Open Studio Tour. 8065 Brentwood Blvd., Suite B, Brentwood, Ca 94513.

The InkWell opening was great.

Sold a few pieces.

I offered a free caricature with the purchase of artwork. They were fun to do. Not my standard black & white marker sketches.

This watercolor and ink drawing done at Dr. Sketchy SF's Bowie theme night.

Artist and Dr. Sketchy's SF director, Alice Stribling, was the recipient of the caricature below for her purchase of Bowie Night at Dr. Sketchy's SF.

The other piece that sold that evening was a caricature study of rock star, American Idol judge, Steven Tyler.

The recipient of the other free caricature of the evening was Keiko and Zach Trenholm. Zach's a fellow caricaturist and friend I first met when researching the National Caricaturist Network now ISCA in 1994.

Thanks for a great evening!

The work will be up and for sale at InkWell through the end of May.
