First Friday Follies in Oakland - Sketches from August 5

First Friday Follies.

In the '80's Big Al would go to comedy clubs and draw caricatures of the comedians while they performed. Drawing burlesque, variety performers and musicians is an extension of that.

Tuesday, July 19 found me in San Francisco for another edition of Dr.Sketchy's SF with model, singer, burlesque bombshell, Eva Von Slut.

Here are some of my flights of fancy with pen, brush, ink, pencil and watercolor.

Dr. Sketchy's East Bay - July Edition - Twilight Vixen Revue

The Twilight Vixen Revue came out in force to model at Dr. Sketchy's East Bay in July at Disco Volante in Oakland.

They were fantastic!

Next session is Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 4pm.

I did my first few sketches in pencil.


They took some nice action poses.


Brush and ink always makes for sweet lines!
