The 24th session of Figure Sketch was held on Monday, January 21st at CR Framing in Brentwood.
The featured model for the evening was Princess Adoness. Our model presented a story of a punk rock girl named Princess, colorful hair, studs, spikes leather and all.

Susan Monson, Actress, Muse, Chanteuse, Chamelion, Libertine'..... first modeled for Figure Sketch in December and ran out of time for her last proposed character. Monday she brings Artemis to the framing table along with another inspired creation.

Figure Sketch #23 - Hunny Bunny aka Christina Lowery

The 23rd session of Figure Sketch was held on Monday, January 7th at CR Framing in Brentwood.

The featured model for the evening was Christina Lowery aka Hunny Bunny. Once again we were treated to live jazz by local musicians led by Marcus Bettencourt.

Christina aka Hunny Bunny  brought a large fan with her which she uses in her burlesque act sometimes. As the head mistress of Hunny Bunny and Her Hot Toddies she can be seen performing monthly at various venues.

Visions of the Figure - Opens Jan. 12 - February 23, 2013

"Visions of the Figure," a new exhibit hosted by the Discover Art League, opens Saturday, January 12 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at CR Framing in Brentwood. 

Live Jazz will be provided by The Kindred Collective at the opening.

Open during normal operating hours through February 23rd.

The show features drawings and paintings of clothed and costumed models created by a figure-sketching group that meets at the gallery. Dancers, actresses -- even a volunteer fire-fighter -- sport a wild array of creative costumes and poses in this colorful collection. 

Artists include Big Al Lopez, Sue Clanton, Gus Daugherty, Josie O'Malley, Lynn Peterson, Nancy Roberts and others. Everyone is invited to the opening reception on Saturday, January 12 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
